Everybody Loves the Blues

An original written with Maynard…so it’s a trumpet feature. Starting as a slow blues (flugelhorn & guitar) it builds into a medium swing with lots of ensemble shouts. Solos by trombone (with Ellington inspired harmonies) and alto sax in straight ahead blues, before returning to a trumpet solo…..eventually trading 2’s with the whole trumpet section.
